Why I Keep Coming Back to Ovation Tack

Why I Keep Coming Back to Ovation Tack

May 31, 2025

There’s something deeply personal about the tack you use every day. It’s not just leather and buckles—it’s how you connect, how you ride, how you show up for your horse. And the more I ride with Ovation, the more I realize: this brand gets it.

I didn’t set out to be loyal to any one tack company. Like most riders, I picked things up here and there, mixed and matched, adjusted as I went. But slowly, without even trying, a pattern started to form. The tack I trusted most? The pieces that held up, felt good in my hands, and fit Oberon just right? It was all Ovation.

Their bridles broke in easily but never lost their structure. The girth? Quietly perfect—secure, comfortable, no drama. And don’t even get me started on their stirrups. Lightweight, reliable, grippy in the best way. Nothing flashy—just well-designed gear that does exactly what it should.

That’s what I love about Ovation. There’s no gimmick. No over-engineering. Just tack that works, looks good doing it, and makes my rides smoother without ever stealing the spotlight.

And sure, I’m not out here collecting sponsorships…

But Ovation, if you’re reading this—call me 😉.

Because in a world full of options, you’ve quietly become my go-to. And that’s not something I say lightly.

Oberon’s Ovation Favorites 🐴

(Approved by one very opinionated gelding)

🔹 Bridle – Soft, supple, and zero fuss to break in. Fits his big forehead without pinching, which we both appreciate.

🔹 Girth – Stays in place, doesn’t rub, and keeps him comfy even when he’s pretending to be a fancy dressage horse.

🔹 Stirrup Leathets – Lightweight and grippy so I stay balanced when Oberon decides something in the bushes might be a mountain lion.

🔹 Reins – Great grip, even on humid days or after a spook-spin-sweat moment.
