KL Select Breeches Review: My #1 Favorite Pair – Here’s Why

May 23, 2025

Let’s cut to the chase: I’ve tried a lot of breeches, and KL Select breeches are hands-down my favorite. If I could ride in only one pair for the rest of my life—this would be it.

KL Select (Tan) Show Breeches

They check every box: flattering, functional, durable, and actually comfortable. Keep reading if you’re ready to retire your saggy, stiff, or overly shiny breeches and upgrade to something that actually works (and looks good doing it).

Fit: Like They Were Made for Me

The fit is next-level. These breeches hug in all the right places without feeling tight or restrictive. The waistband sits just high enough to feel secure while riding, but not so high that it digs in or feels bulky under layers. And somehow—they’re sculpting without squeezing.

I wear 38R and find they run true to size with just the right amount of stretch.

Bonus: The tailoring through the leg is super clean, so no bunching at the knee or ankle.

Fabric & Feel: Luxe Without the Fuss

The material is buttery but structured—think performance-wear meets tailored trousers. They hold their shape all day, even after riding, mucking, and sprinting to grab your runaway horse in the field (ask me how I know).

They’re breathable, hold up to sweat and dust, and still look polished after a full day at the barn.

In the Saddle: Zero Distractions

These breeches move with you. Whether I’m flatting, jumping, or stretching after a ride, they stay put and never pinch or ride up. The knee patch (or full seat version, if that’s your style) gives the perfect amount of grip—secure but not sticky.

There’s no shifting, no sliding waistband, and definitely no seams digging into weird places. Just smooth, confident riding.

Style: Minimalist, Chic, and Show-Ready

I’m a sucker for clean lines and timeless pieces, and KL Select breeches totally deliver. No loud logos, no gimmicks—just beautifully cut breeches that look as good in the saddle as they do grabbing coffee post-ride. My favorite color is navy, but honestly, I’d wear any of them.

Final Verdict: 100% Recommend

These breeches are worth every penny. If you’re looking for one pair you can count on for lessons, clinics, show prep, or just feeling like a put-together adult amateur on a Tuesday—this is it. I reach for mine constantly, and every time I do, I remember why they’re my favorite.

Pros:

Flattering, sculpted fit Soft, structured fabric that lasts Barn-to-town approved style No tugging, adjusting, or discomfort—ever

Cons:

Honestly? Just that I don’t own more pairs (yet)

Would I recommend them?

Yes, yes, and YES. If you’ve been debating it, take this as your sign. KL Select breeches are that good.
